Mel, Owner of Sunless Bellas, is a Certified Spray Tan Artist (NSTPA) with a Medical Assistant degree from Ross Medical Education Center (May 2024). She spent two years working in dermatology alongside general dermatologists, pathologists, and surgeons, gaining clinical insight into a range of skin conditions and evidence-based care.
Mel has developed a comprehensive guide addressing a wide range of skin types and conditions, including rosacea, acne-prone skin, patients on isotretinoin (Accutane), keratosis pilaris, and vitiligo. Her guidance focuses on proper preparation and aftercare for spray tans, as well as overall skin health. She emphasizes the importance of hydration and a consistent skincare routine, key factors that influence spray tan outcomes, and advocates daily sunscreen use to protect skin health.
Her interest in skin and sunless tanning stems from personal experience with acne and scarring, which led her to appreciate the confidence-boosting effects of a professional spray tan. Currently pursuing a degree in Strategic Business Management at Cornerstone University, Mel is committed to expanding Sunless Bellas and introducing additional services in the future.
