Making it Last!
How to Make Your Spray Tan Last 7–10 Days
One of the most common questions we hear at Sunless Bellas is, “How can I make my spray tan last longer?” The good news is that with proper care, your spray tan can stay beautiful for up to 10 days.
Moisturize Every Day
Hydrated skin holds your tan much longer than dry skin. Apply a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer morning and night.
Take Quick, Lukewarm Showers
Long, hot showers dry out your skin and cause your tan to fade faster. Keep showers short and use lukewarm water whenever possible.
Avoid Harsh Soaps
Choose sulfate-free body washes that are gentle on your skin. Harsh cleansers can strip away your tan much more quickly.
Pat Dry Instead of Rubbing
After showering, gently pat your skin dry with a towel rather than rubbing.
Stay Away From Chlorine
Pools and hot tubs can shorten the life of your spray tan. If you do swim, rinse off as soon as possible and moisturize afterward.
Exfoliate Only When You’re Ready to Remove Your Tan
When it’s time for your next appointment, gently exfoliate to remove any remaining color before applying a fresh spray tan.
Healthy Skin = Longer Lasting Color
The healthier your skin, the better your spray tan will look. Staying hydrated, moisturizing daily, and following your aftercare routine will keep your glow looking fresh.
At Sunless Bellas, we provide every client with aftercare recommendations so you can enjoy your tan as long as possible.
